Making art has been a quintessential aspect of being human for a wildly long time. Our ancestors painted on cave walls long before they wrote words. 

Fortunately, my parents encouraged my creativity from a young age. In grade school they supplied me with seemingly endless rolls of large newspaper stock. Essentially there was no running out of supplies and therefore no limit to what I could create - and my imagination ran free. 

Decades as a professional educator have shown me that not everyone's creativity was so well nourished. So many people tell me they “can’t paint” or “can’t draw” or “I can’t do art” when, in fact, given the right instruction and encouragement they can create art, I know they can.

In this way, I get to share the best version of myself with you.

Among the ways in which I keep myself entertained, I have a wide variety of interests and enjoy many hobbies and fandoms from Lord of the Rings and Star Wars to SCUBA diving and having serious fun playing games.
